Most of the acoustic played instruments are not electrically amplified. The audience is invited to sit or lie on cushions around the Instruments and musicians   There is a continuous and deep interrelation between artificial techniques and physical playing techniques. The apparatuses, circuits and software programs of the transmission and reproduction media have not only become playing instruments themselves, but have changed the playing modes of the historical instruments whose sounds were stored, simulated or emulated. Radio, turntables, electronic organs, taperecorders, synthesizers, samplers and drum machines have changed the production of sound and thus the sound worlds – they are also apparatus-become forms of thinking that can fundamentally change the playing of music.
